March 2017 – Melonie Butler, Founder of I Choose To Win, delivered a keynote address to approximately 200 women about living your best life now: mind, body and spirit at the WomanUp Hat and Tea Party, March 26, 2017, held at the Belmont Mansion. Sharing a poem she had written for this event, she encouraged women to learn from the experiences of hardships that sought to break them or bring them down, but couldn’t keep them there. And, whatever lessons were learned, use them to remain uplifted, but to also lift their fellow woman Up. Met with an overwhelming response, roaring applause and a standing ovation, many in the audience requested a copy of the WomanUp poem she read to conclude her speech. That speech will be made available in the future.
