HOW IT ALL BEGAN
One day, one woman decided “It starts with me! ”
- 2014 - We registered the organization
- 2015 - Secured our 501(c)(3) status
- 2017 - Best Nonprofit of the Year (Zeta)
- 2018 - Launched Time To Choose Book
- 2019 - Produced Inner Warrior Documentary
- 2021 - Completed Together We Win Children’s Book
- 2022 - Inaugural Awards & Fundraising Gala
Our organization helps women, who may be facing difficulty during periods of life transitions, see the possibility of a future with them fully engaged, contributing in unique ways and positively impacting others. We offer a safe space, sense of belonging and vibrant community for them to journey alongside others where they can feel seen, heard and valued.
Programming is designed to develop leaders by building confidence, exercising personal courage, boosting esteem, awakening a sense of purpose, activating faith and belief in oneself and promoting intentional decision-making and prompting positive action steps. We address hindrances, barriers and obstacles to being our best selves and living our best lives, upon overcoming personal internal battles. We confront fear, guilt, shame, self-doubt, negative self-talk, apathy, complacency, feelings of insignificance and/or inadequacy–all of which are barriers to winning.
By equipping women with community, strategies and tools on their journey to win in life, I Choose to Win hopes to witness more women and girls making strides to be the difference makers and change agents this world so desperately needs. In doing so, they are growing as leaders and paving a way toward economic independence.
Purpose, Passion & Power
We are shifting mindsets from victim to victor, upgrading narratives to remove all negative thinking and limiting believing, and building a hope-filled expectation for women and girls’ and their future plan to live it out. We’re on a mission for women and girls to walk in their purpose, pursue their passion and own their personal power as they navigate life. In short, we hope to spark hope, activate faith and help transform lives
Edify, Empower & Equip
We hope to see more women awaken to their purpose, pursue their passion(s) and embrace their personal power in order to realize their full potential. We are women who boldly, bravely and brilliantly unleash our God-given gifts to positively impact the world. We believe someone somewhere is waiting on us to be and do as we’ve been called with the gifts we’ve been given. When we unleash our gifts, someone else receives a blessing. In essence, we are all waiting for each other to become our best selves to live our best life.
Content, Coaching & Community
We curate safe spaces to deliver inspirational, motivational and transformational content, coaching and counseling by way of workshops, programs, conferences and retreats to develop women and girls as leaders. Ours is a close-knit community where belonging is prioritized for women to feel supported on their personal journeys in their space of transition. Additionally, we provide tools, strategies and resources to equip women and girls on their journeys toward economic independence.

Teresa M.
Sis and Bros Vending
After joining our “It’s My Time” cohort, Teresa decided it was her time to earn additional income. During the multi-week cohort, she established a plan, conducted research, and joined the interactive and lesson-driven group’s weekly sessions. In the end, she partnered with her brother to launch “Sis. and Bros. Vending” where clients hosting special events could hire their company for an engaging 360 degree photo booth experience.

Legal Kid Foundation
As a participant and volunteer facilitator of I Choose To Win, Mrs. Bizzell ignited her inner strength and began to move in the direction she was called. She and her husband established The Legal Kid Foundation, which awakens young minds of the law and their rights through free to low-cost workshops. “Greater is He that is in me!” is a phrase that allows Dawn to move forward in bold, confident trust that this is her appointed time.

As a participant and coach within I Choose To Win, Kamella stepped out on faith to leave her job and start her own business. Keep Evolving Consulting is an organization that provides Diversity, Equity and Inclusion consulting and strategies to foster a work environment of belonging. Additionally, Coach K, as she is affectionately called, is a life and executive coach helping clients lead their lives and career with authenticity.

Phillip Butler, Sr.
Phil Butler serves as Executive Vice President and Partner for MRA Group. Phil has 20+ years of leadership experience, serving in various facets of the real estate industry and serving in nonprofit leadership.
Candy Manning
Candy Manning is a dedicated and passionate educator and serial entrepreneur committed to making a positive impact in her community. Candy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in education and community engagement.
Mallory Clements
Mallory Clements discovered her passion to help people while working for the Montco Office of Public Health during the Covid-19 Pandemic. She is grateful to help those who have been marginalized by society.

Michael A. Bowman is the Principal of Rittenhouse LTD, a diversity-focused consultancy and law firm focused on general counsel services, real estate, and employment – with extensive experience in diversity strategy.
Cynthia Burrows
Cynthia Davis Burrows is a Senior Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Her goals are to retire, work as a self-employed consultant, and always to serve!

Melonie Butler is a wife, mother of three sons, strategic marketing consultant and socialpreneur based in the Philadelphia-area who founded the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, I Choose To Win. Her passion is the catalyst for our organization.
