About Our Bold, Brave and Brilliant Awards Gala
I Choose To Win is a community-based nonprofit organization that relies heavily on the generous contributions of individuals, donors, sponsors and fundraising initiatives, such as the annual gala to continue offering impactful programming.
The annual gala is I Choose To Win’s biggest fundraising event to sustain programming for the following year. When under-resourced community-based organizations invite us to speak, facilitate and conduct workshops for the youth in their organizations, we are able to do so through the generosity of our donors. Additionally, when women or girls seek to engage in our programming, but are faced with financial barriers, we offer scholarships with the funds raised to ensure their access to programming. Additionally, funds raised support the purchase or development of program resources and tools.
Our gala is a high-energy, fabulous, theme-based celebratory affair so our guests will be delighted and excited to return year after year.
About Our Honorees
During the annual gala, we highlight, showcase and honor women in our communities who exemplify being Bold, Brave and Brilliant in their respective area of giftedness or business.
By shining a light on women whose faith have led them to operate in their gifts, being impactful in the lives of others, we invite those in the audience to do the same.
We identify and celebrate women whose stories involve making intentional choices, strengthening their mental wellbeing, building resilience and carving a pathway toward economic independence.
They are living examples exemplifying the mission of our organization: women who have strengthened their mental wellbeing, resilience and economic position through intentional choices, habits, and actions to get where they are. They serve as models of inspiration that what is possible for them, is also possible for those in attendance.
