Philadelphia-area nonprofit will close its doors with open hands, pouring nearly $40,000, into other organizations
FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. –As we prepare to close the doors of I Choose To Win, we’ve been intentional about ensuring responsible stewardship of the dollars donated to our organization for the mission of strengthening the mental wellbeing, resilience and economic position of women and girls.
In our attempt to leave the community better than we found it, our Board of Directors has decided to allocate I Choose To Win’s remaining assets, nearly $40,000 of charitable contributions, to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations whose missions and audiences align with the work we’ve championed for 11 years—organizations creating pathways to edify, empower, and equip women and girls to win in life.
As we share our intention to pour into other nonprofits that seek to cultivate our next generation of leaders and owners, we’re honored to name the following organizations as our Legacy Contribution Award recipients, upon court approval of our dissolution plan:
💜 Black Girls Love Math — Creating joyful, culturally responsive opportunities that help Black girls see themselves as confident problem-solvers and future STEM leaders.
Follow: @blackgirlslovemath
💜 Make The Distinction, Inc. — Equipping girls with the personal and professional development skills to become confident, purposeful leaders.
Follow: @mtdistinction
💜 Hey Girl! Fund — Creating opportunities for women and girls to connect, grow, build confidence, and live authentically.

💜 Mom Your Business, Inc. — Helping Black and Brown women entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses through resources, connections, and capacity-building. Follow: @momyourbusiness

‼️A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE
While these organizations have been identified to each receive a generous financial gift, the contributions have not yet disbursed. Distribution will occur once the Court of Common Pleas approves I Choose To Win’s dissolution plan.
We’re sharing this now because we believe legacy is worth celebrating while it’s being built.
These organizations represent the kind of work we believe deserves to continue. So, don’t just celebrate them with us—follow them, learn about their work, support them, and share their missions with someone who needs to know about them.
After 11 years, we may be closing our organizational doors, but we’re choosing to leave with our hands open—sowing into work that can continue to edify, empower, and equip others to win. 💜
The work continues. The legacy lives on.
