Ladies Enduring Trauma Healing Emotionally Right-Now! aka LET HER! is a program by I Choose To Win to aid in grief support and healing for co-survivors of gun violence in the Philadelphia and Montgomery County areas launches April 18th.
This is a FREE 8-week program with an intergenerational mentorship model, pairing participants aged 12-18 years old (mentees) with mature adult women (mentors) who are also co-survivors of gun violence. They do not serve as saviors, but as mirrors—offering reflections of what is possible when pain is named, honored, and transformed. Together, our mentees and mentors embark on unique, weekly in-person activities around the city of Philadelphia that integrate fun, sisterhood, adventure, and new tools for the healing journey. We are proud to announce a partnership with Philadelphia Youth Basketball as a venue host at the Sixth Man Center for several of the LET HER! Mentorship sessions, including orientation and kickoff.
Thanks to funders, such as Health Spark Foundation, the District Attorney’s Office Forfeiture Fund, Barra Foundation and Common Bondz, this program is fully funded and made available at no cost to program participants.
